If nothing happens in Chrome for iPhone, the browser is blocking the bookmarklet on Instagram. Use the iOS Shortcut script below in Safari to mass follow accounts safely.
- Open the Shortcuts app on iPhone and tap +.
- Add the action Run JavaScript on Web Page.
- Tap Copy iPhone Shortcut script above and paste it into the action.
- In the shortcut settings, enable Show in Share Sheet and accept input from Safari web pages.
- If needed, enable Settings → Shortcuts → Advanced → Allow Running Scripts.
- In Safari, open the target profile (e.g. instagram.com/some_account) and tap Followers to open the list.
- Scroll a bit so accounts load.

- To stop, run the shortcut again — it stops after the current action.
Does it work with the iPhone locked or Safari minimized? No.
On iPhone the script runs inside a Safari tab via the Apple Shortcuts "Run JavaScript on Web Page" action. iOS pauses JavaScript timers as soon as the tab is not in the foreground, so the loop stops the moment you:
- Lock the iPhone screen (auto-lock or side button) — Safari suspends and the loop halts mid-list.
- Switch to another app or the Home Screen — the tab is backgrounded and setTimeout is frozen.
- Switch to another Safari tab or minimize Safari — same effect, the script pauses.
